Return From The Break

Hello everyone! After taking a well-needed rest and time to self-care, I'm back with more faith-filled messages of love from God. Amen.

I wanted to share these verses from Deuteronomy 10. You should definitely read on and finish this chapter. I love this book; it has tons of health-nourishing verses.

With love and soundness, let's move on and read these verses.

Deuteronomy 10:12-15

"And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul, 13to keep the commandments of the LORD, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good? 14Behold, the heaven and the heaven of heavens is the LORD's thy God, the earth also, with all that therein is.15Only the LORD had a delight in thy fathers to love them, and he chose their seed after them, even you above all people, as it is this day."

Knowledge of what God wants from us.

It says he only requires:

  • Fear of the LORD

  • Walk in all his ways

  • Love God

  • Serve God with all your heart and soul

  • Keep the commandments and statues

Let's remember what each one means.

Fear of the LORD

"Fear of the LORD," not just simply fearing God. No, it is so much more my friend. We can learn about the "Fear of the LORD" in Proverbs. Since there is so much, I will explain using a couple of verses.

Proverbs 15:33

"👉🏽The fear of the Lord is instruction in wisdom👈🏽, and humility comes before honor."

Proverbs 8:13

"👉🏽The fear of the Lord is hatred of evil. Pride and arrogance and the way of evil and perverted speech I hate.👈🏽"

Proverbs 1:7

"👉🏽The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge👈🏽; fools despise wisdom and instruction."

Proverbs 14:27

"👉🏽The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life👈🏽, that one may turn away from the snares of death."

After reading these verses, I'm sure you understand it isn't just fearing God. It's so much more than that. It's a "way of life" and "teaching". It's something to acquire by living, being, telling, and hearing. We could surely do this right! 😃 💕

Walk in all his ways

As children of God, we must learn to be close to Him, and be more like God. What is God? God is love, let's love abundantly and with grace and mercy. Study your God and see that He is a God with unlimited boundaries of love. Always there in the perfect timing, which is His. Everything He does is good and not bad. Don't get Him confused with the enemy. He is Love.

Love God

Our God loves us so much. What should we do in return? Love our Father, love God as He loves us. I want to share a verse that shows God's paining in loving us. As a parent, reading this verse hit me hard, it made me cry at times. To create something... holding it, loving it, and caring for it builds a bond that feels like no other. Take a moment to read it.

John 1:10

"He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not."

Can you imagine creating a world where the world did not know you? That would bring sadness across my little heart. Just imagine how big God's heart is.

Serve God with all your heart and soul

First, what does it mean to serve?

Serve /sərv/ Verb

  1. perform duties or services for.

  2. present to someone something.

With our hearts and souls, God wants us to perform duties and services for others by Him and present to Him our offerings. The more and more you pray and get closer to God, you will find yourself hearing little messages. Your heart would be touched to do things you would never think to do at the weirdest and most unpredictable moments, that seem to be a coincidence. That is a gift from the Spirit of Wisdom, Knowledge, Understanding, and the Holy Spirit. These gifts with discernment will have you serving God, by helping your family, friends, and neighbors. How amazing is this... it's almost like the telepathy we read about in sci-fi books. I consider this to be a superpower gifted by our God. Isn't it awesome!

Keep the commandments and statues

Lastly, keeping simple rules in anything creates a fair, safe, and structured environment. Don't you think? Rules and guides help us do a great job and perform at our best every day. Just like rules and guides, The Commandments and statues were made. We see God's commandments and statutes throughout the Bible.

We should try and follow and respect them as best we can while understanding God knows us as we are. It's ok to fall and get back up again when it comes to these rules God has set. Our God is merciful, beware not to do it on purpose or with the intention of not sincerely asking for forgiveness. God is serious when He says He loves you and will do anything to protect you from bad energies, even if that means punishing you or putting you in time out. Be on your best behavior for our Father God, He loves us and means us well. I'm sure grateful He rears me. I wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for His guidance and love.

Wasn't that a very refreshing welcome back to blogging? This whole study made my day brighter. Each day we learn and advance. In our wins and losses, we gain a take-away that can prepare us for future encounters. I thank God for having such love and patience in teaching us. The #1 best teacher ever, Amen.

Ending our study, I want you to meditate on this word and pray. Let God open your heart to get the fullest understanding of it. Let the love of God guide you to what is best for you.

With all love,

Cadie Sonnier💗
