Good Morning,

I would like to thank God for waking us up this morning to see another day. I am glad to be studying the word of God, learning, and growing. Today we will learn qualities we should carry as teachers of the Word and as the upright, God's people. We will be studying Psalms chapter 15. Please open your Bibles, and turn to this chapter to read it before we start. Meditate on it in your spirit to receive your translation of it from God.

Before starting, can you list what you think these qualities may be? Save your list to see how it will benefit you in your journey of good and growth.

I will open with prayer.

God, The One and Only True God - Creator of heaven and earth, we come to You today to gain knowledge and understanding of what we will study today. We ask that you guide us in all we do and let us lean not to our "own understanding", but unto Yours. We pray that You open our minds and eyes so that we may see the truth and what is good. Thank You, God, for keeping us and protecting us. You constantly give us salvation and grace.

In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

Before we start, do you have a list of what you think God will say are good qualities? Circle the ones you feel you need to work on. This will give a spectrum. Once added to God's list, of things you want to improve within yourself. You can implement these traits and integrate them into your life to walk with God and grow closer. Let's begin!

Qualities Of A Teacher & The Upright

Psalms Chp 15

The chapter starts with David asking who will keep God's temple and dwell with Him. God answers David with the qualities of what one who serves God should have.

To be a servant of God you must have/attain these qualities:

  1. Walk Upright.

  2. Do God's work, good works.

  3. Speak the truth in your heart.

  4. Don't ignore your tongue.

  5. Don't do evil unto your neighbor.

  6. Don't reprimand your neighbor.

  7. Know where the wicked/ungodly are predestined.

  8. Love those who fear God.

  9. Sweareth on your goodness of heart & stay consistent.

  10. Don't waste your money/things.

  11. Don't take from the poor.

Psalms 15:5 "... He that doeth these things shall never be moved."

1.) Walk upright.

Be honest, don't have a lying tongue. God's people have to be honest in everything, to keep their surrounding peers and themselves in a trustworthy open environment. The better functioning of the team as a whole. It's the same ideal as the "honest work environment" practices but implemented in one's lifestyle.

2.) Do God's work, good works.

Good works are anything done in line with the word of God to help or contribute to the Kingdom of God. Here are a couple of "good works": Do good unto others, and help when they are in need. Be caring and lift others. Give your first fruits to God. Keep your house duties up. Work like you are working for God. Share the Word of God. There are lots, comprise a list and add to it throughout the year. Share it to grow together, fellowship. No good deed is little, all contribute to the bigger picture. Don't feel small.

3.) Speak the truth in your heart.

Your heart must be dwelling on purity and goodness at all times. Keep a focused body, mind, and spirit in check... On one accord as a powerhouse always running in good and righteousness. Keep evil thoughts and vain thoughts from your mind. Clean and cleanse your heart every day. Even God has ministers ministering to him constantly; what makes you think you can go without this? Cleanse every day and when needed.

4.) Don't ignore your tongue.

"Don't ignore your tongue" means to watch what you say. Guard your mouth and the words that flow from it. Speak of goodness and life. Stay away from cursing and speaking negative things. Don't speak down, death.

Let me tell you why this is so important.

In my learnings from God, I was taught that in the beginning, God gave us life by breathing life into us.

Gensis 2:6-7

But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.

And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

This same "life"/light He gave us is so powerful that it can give life to things within our bodies. Spiritually and physically. Our body can give life to things it shouldn't, that's how powerful it is. It has to be controlled. When it gives life to things it shouldn't, it ends in death to the body and possibly the spirit. (Visual/Mental example: cancer)

Did you know you possessed such a power God gave us for free? When words come out of our mouths it gives life, like our creator. God. That's why God says we are like Him and our older brothers the Angels. Knowing right & wrong we have gained this from our Father, God. God gives us numerous accounts of warnings in His Word. You may have thought that your words are nothing, but they are much more than that. That's why it is important to speak life/goodness, and not death.

5.) Don't do evil unto your neighbor.

Do not hurt others for fun, enjoyment, or period. To receive good/love and protection, you must give it. Do unto others as you would want to be done unto you. God is the only one who can give salvation; with that, He will administer to whom He sees acting unjustly with what they deserve as well. Hence, behave or get what God is giving to the ungodly. LOL 😂 Brutal, but real. Catch God's hands... for you younger ones. ROTFL

Psalms 3:8

Salvation belongeth unto the Lord: thy blessing is upon thy people. Selah.

1 Thessalonians 5:14-22

14 Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.

15 See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.

16 Rejoice evermore.

17 Pray without ceasing.

18 In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

19 Quench not the Spirit.

20 Despise not prophesyings.

21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

22 Abstain from all appearance of evil.

6.) Don't reprimand your neighbor.

God is the only one who punishes. As well as, vengeance. All these belong to God.

Romans 12:19

19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

For you to remain clean and righteous. God has taken charge of this for you. Who else would be a better fit? The One and Only True God "handling" your enemies. He wants you to focus on being good and righteous and pure of heart. So, you can enter into His Kingdom. Isn't that an awesome gift? We have so many great gifts from God. Don't you think?

Instead of acting out of anger, call on God to try your heart for evil. Ask Him to take your enemy from in front of your path so that you can walk again. If He finds you seeking Him in goodness and justness, He will always side with you.

Psalms 7:8

The Lord shall judge the people: judge me, O Lord, according to my righteousness, and according to mine integrity that is in me.

Psalms 4:4

Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.

Psalms 5:12

12 For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.

Psalms 7:10

10 My defence is of God, which saveth the upright in heart.

7.) Know where the wicked/ungodly are predestined to.

Know that the ungodly and wicked don't go unpunished. Remind yourself so that you think twice before acting out in anger or doing as they do. (again... you don't want to catch God's hands... I'm telling you)

Psalms 14:1

14 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

Psalms 11:6

Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup.

8.) Love those who fear God.

Love each other who believe in God. These times, God's people have been separated by the enemy. To deplete their strength so that they don't rise and use their ordained power from God.

Psalms 2:3

Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.

God people must stick together and put their differences aside. It's not about who is smarter if that's the case Jesus would have just stayed with the phrases and wouldn't have used ordinary people. It's about the body/God's people working as one team as a powerhouse. That's how God intended our true strength to work. Not be prideful in one's self.

1 Corinthians 1:10

10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

1 Corinthians 12:14

14 For the body is not one member, but many.

Ephesians 4:16

16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

1 Corinthians 12:12-13

12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.

13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

9.) Sweareth on your goodness of heart and stay consistent.

Stay true to God with all you have. Swear in this context means a promise. Promise that you will stay in God and His Word. Stay consistent in your studies and love with God. Don't fall out. He will always keep you if you do, I can testify to this. You need to cleanse daily. Pray and refresh every morning and as needed. To stay baptized in the spirit; you must do this anyway. You have to remain in the spirit, circumcised in the spirit.

10.) Don't waste your money/things.

Your payment from God and what He has blessed you with, you must care for it. Take care of what God gave you. You will not receive more until you take care of what you have. Put your money into substantial things and don't squander it on unnecessary things. Make wise choices. If you're having trouble deciding, pray about it. Ask a confidant for their opinion. To help with your decision. Reading my Bible helps me. This, also, includes your mind, body, and spirit. Taking nothing God gave you in vain.

11.) Don't take from the poor.

Don't take from the poor. Poor doesn't always necessarily mean "poor". It can stand for people thought to be weaker than an oppressor. Don't take advantage of people who are humble in spirit. Only wicked people hurt innocent people. They wait and plot, getting them alone and off guard. Lying and tricking them and others surrounding them. Don't Do this. (God's Hands 😠)

Psalms 10:7

His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and fraud: under his tongue is mischief and vanity.

Psalms 10:8

He sitteth in the lurking places of the villages: in the secret places doth he murder the innocent: his eyes are privily set against the poor.

Psalms 7:10

10 My defence is of God, which saveth the upright in heart.

Psalms 15:5 "... He that doeth these things shall never be moved."

Lastly, God gives you the ultimate promise. He always has the best promises. God says all that have these qualities and things will NEVER be moved. As strong as a mountain, you will stand. A mountain that will never have wear, no erosion. "Never be moved" is a power God will add unto you if you do these things.

Isn't that just quenching and fullness to the mind and stomach? Knowing this made me so relaxed while studying. It made me feel safe and at peace. He finishes all His works with completeness. He never leaves you empty-handed. Our God continues to give, He is awesome in so many ways. Undescribable.

This concludes our study today. I will be posting when I have important lessons as this one, that I learn for myself to share with my brothers and sisters. I post solely to studying and focusing on God.

Please comment and tell me your translations and thoughts on this study. What was your favorite part? What verse spoke to you the most?

Thank you for spending time with God today and in His Word. Continue to study and read to gain knowledge.

Closing Prayer

Thank You, God, for giving us the strength and understanding to get through our study today. Thank you for giving us numerous amounts of gifts and love. You shower us with unconditional love and what did we do for you to deserve this? You are generous, O God, and we are grateful to You for this. We ask that you continue to work within us. Helping us to grasp and hold on to your teachings. May the Angels of the LORD watch over everyone and keep them safe from hurt, harm, or danger.

In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.
