Kick that Distraction 👊🏽

Updated: Aug 13, 2019

Life can be overwhelming at times. Most of the obstacles are distractions that can be avoided. This is how I see it.

Whatever is going on in your life right now, stop and breathe. Look at your life from the outside looking in. Is it filled with assets or distractions? A lot of times we walk through life playing, what we call, the game of “Life” or “Monopoly”. Pulling cards with distractions written on them to hinder us from reaching our destinations.  Then watching other people finishing ahead of us. Everyone bragging about what they have. Others wishing and desiring what the other players have. Trying to seeing who’s living in “Millionaire Acres or Country Side Acres”. The one who has the most, we label them with the title “Winner”. When in fact they lost from the beginning paying the game. Stop falling for the distractions of the enemy. God has your path, you just have to follow His rules and circumcise your spirits. Be washed in the spirit again.

Psalm 18:1-3

“25 Let your eyes look directly forward, and your gaze be straight before you. 26 Ponder the path of your feet; then all your ways will be sure. 27 Do not swerve to the right or to the left; turn your foot away from evil.”

“Proverbs 4 | Bible.is.” Bible.is Online, Good News Publishers and Crossway Bibles, 2001, listen.bible.is/ENGESV/Prov/4.

Look at the game. Who you think is moving your piece when you decide to enter the game? So, are you just going to sit still and enjoy the ride and see what you can get by chance? Or, will you set yourself aside and allow God to show you your true purpose and what you’re promised? God doesn’t play games and neither should we. He keeps it 100% with us from the beginning and lays down grace, structure, love, and protection. When you play games with the enemy, he isn’t gonna hand you security and armor. Nah… You play the game like everyone else, bare chest and vulnerable. So he can just enter and place anything in your way. Giving you what they call “Mid-life Crisis”. He says, “Oh yeah, you think you’re coming up… You just lost your job, you’re broke, in debt…”. Why sit down in that chair when you could be living in real life, covered by the blood of Jesus? God will take you as far as you let him. He’s not going anywhere. He’s always here waiting for us to return like the prodigal son. The enemy wants us to believe we have to take a seat at that table. That we are lost children of God who are “trying to find ourselves”. We don’t need to be finding anybody, but God. Cause without Him we are nothing. We are the dust we were created from. Dirt. Oh! You didn’t get that! God told us from the beginning what we would be without Him. If He didn’t put the breath of life in us, we would still be dust till this day. Why pick to be dust again? When God is sitting in our faces saying He has eternal life for us. Come on we can do better than that.

Wake up children of God and tell that distraction you got to go.

Bye!

Get up from that table and go live your life in the real.

Go get your Blessings!!! Gone! Gone and get it!

Scriptures

Proverbs 4:1-7

1 Hear, O sons, a father’s instruction, and be attentive, that you may gain insight, 2 for I give you good precepts; do not forsake my teaching. 3 When I was a son with my father, tender, the only one in the sight of my mother, 4 he taught me and said to me, “Let your heart hold fast my words; keep my commandments, and live. 5 Get wisdom; get insight; do not forget, and do not turn away from the words of my mouth. 6 Do not forsake her, and she will keep you; love her, and she will guard you. 7 The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom, and whatever you get, get insight.”

Psalm 18:1-3

“1 I love you, O LORD, my strength. 2 The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. 3 I call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies.”
