Do you feel like you keep repeating the same lessons over and over? Wondering when the break through will happen? Hummm... I have those moments, too.
Keep your focus and your eyes fixed on what’s in front of you. God’s got a plan for you. Now we all know we have a destination to reach. Only God knows the path from being to end. In order for you to reach your true gift, you have to stay focused. No if, and’s, or buts. It’s hard to stay on track. There are distractions all along the path. The enemy works. He will do his best to work through whoever he can and whatever he can. Opinions, negativity, heartbreak, finance issues… you name it. One of the best ways I learned to explain this is the counting illustration. Everyone has had this happen to them at least once as a joke or just unexpectedly. 😂 This is how it goes. You start counting 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, … etc. Another person is standing next to you and they start counting but, their numbers are all over the place… 30, 4, 2, 7, 6, 44, 98,… etc. You will end up making a mistake and have to start counting all over.
NOW! This is something we would get tired of happening after a while. Going in constant circles. At one point you might scream, “Shut Up”. Which is not polite. 😂 So you get the gist. Put you as the person counting and the enemy as the crazy counter. Imagine the numbers are your life. If you keep focussing on counting correctly then you’re going to reach your destination. Let’s say “counting correctly” is listening to God and obeying His word. You have to keep counting correctly for all your life points God wants and desires you to reach. Now the devil is here counting all kind of ways in your ears. Just distracting you and stuff. To defeat it you have to learn to tune it out. The good ole mother tuning out that noise trick. It works! “Tuning out” at first can be as challenging as trying to do a backflip for the first time in your life. lol 😂 Not to mention, annoying. But, once you got it down, your good to go.
You don’t understand how important it is to keep counting correctly because one miscount can mean starting fresh again. That’s exactly what the enemy wants. He wants you to stay in the cycle, going in a circle constantly. When you miscount that means God has to step in and get you back on track. Sometimes you may not understand God when he shows up, being how bad you fell behind on counting. How are you going to understand God if you skipped from 15 all the back to 10? It’s going to be really hard. That’s why it is so important to hear and know God’s word. If you don’t get that knowledge of God’s word. You will not know how to fight against the devil when he starts counting crazy in your ear. You will not know how to distinguish the difference of what God is saying and the devil. You will miss a step. I beg you to get in your word. Stay on track and listen to God when you hear Him. If you miss a step, pray to hear only the voice of God.
