Activity Folders For Pre-K

I teach English abroad in Japan. I get the privilege of making my own lesson for my classes. In some cases you do not get this chance, you have to follow a strict lesson plan. I really enjoy that I get to do this, it allows me to express my creativity. At the same time giving my students a great learning experience and my company a new material to possible use.

I made activity folders for my class. Being most classes are on a strict time limit, this is a great and fun time saver for teaching the basics. After the basics, you can move on to sentences and pronunciation focuses.

I put together a color activity, simple shape activity, and found a way to make cheap counters. The color shape activity is posted on my Facebook feed if you would like to use these for personal use for free. If anything is missing let me now I can add it.

For the counters, I use a pack of straws I bought from Daiso. I did a craft with my daughter making straw bracelets and had a lot leftover. I cut them into about one-inch pieces for easy handling. They are fun and easy for the kids to handle and when done using you can dispose of them, to keep a germ free zone. Straws come in larges amounts in packs; so, use away.

In class, my student loved using them and it was easy for them to count with. I definitely will be keeping this idea. You can even get different color straws for adding a color activity. There are so many things you can do with these.

Until next time,

Be blessed!
